The Executive Board Members are:
Philip Arnold
Philip Arnold is the Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) of the Quantum Consulting Group
(QCG) Plc, which he founded in 1994. Today the group
is based in Dunstable and employs 70 people.
Mr. Arnold is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants (England and Wales) and a Fellow of the
Institute of Management Consultants (IMC). In the past
he has served on several committees including a two
year period as the Chairman of the IMC specialist Training
and Enterprise Group and also for two years as the Treasurer
of the Alumni Association of the now defunct Arthur
Andersen accounting business.
Mr. Arnold is 48 years old and has a total of 25 years
of business experience; functionally his experience
is as follows:
- Five years in audit and finance (Arthur Andersen),
- Two years in sales and marketing (IBM),
- Nine years in management consulting (KPMG and QCG),
with especial emphasis on IT,
- Nine years in finance and operations (KPMG and QCG).
His employment history in reverse chronological order
is as follows:
- Eleven years with QCG.
- Two years with KPMG Management Consulting in Portugal
as the Partner in Charge of the Portuguese consulting
practice and the country member of the European Management
Consulting Committee (EMCC), this was effectively
their European Board.
- Five years with KPMG Management Consulting (UK),
first as a Senior Consultant and then as a Principal
IT Consultant.
- This was with the Large Systems Implementation Group
of KPMG in London and involved UK only projects for
the first two years and thereafter extensive international
project experience (principally Turkey and Kuwait),
- Two years with IBM (UK) as a Sales and Marketing
Consultant in their South Bank, London office, this
involved sales quota responsibility, the targets for
which were all successfully achieved,
- Five years with Arthur Andersen (London), primarily
in the Audit practice and followed by a brief spell
as a Tax Consultant.
Prior to his employment Mr. Arnold studied at University
College London and graduated in 1979 with an Upper Second
Honours degree in Chemistry, with Mathematics and Physics
as subsidiary subjects. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant
in 1983 and became a Fellow of the institute in July 2002.
He became a member of the IMC in 1989 and a Fellow of
the institute in 1994.
He joined the Institute of Directors (IOD) in 2000 and
achieved a distinction in their diploma examinations in
2004.
Glyn Pointon
Glyn Pointon is the Information Technology (IT) Services
Director of the Quantum Consulting Group (QCG), which
he joined in 1996. He has worked within or alongside,
QCG for a total of approximately 11 years. Mr. Pointon
is 31 years old and has a total of 13 years of relevant
IT experience.
He has extensive development experience within the field
financial services sector generally and especially within
the insurance service sector. His niche areas of specialisation
are:
- Claims Administration,
- Policy Administration,
- Premium Quotation and Collection.
He has worked on major projects with the following high
profile clients:
- Axa Insurance,
- Zurich Financial Services, including Allied Dunbar
and Eagle Star,
- Norwich Union,
- Capital One,
- HSBC.
Prior to his employment with QCG Mr. Pointon was awarded
an Honours degree in Computing He gained this degree during
his employment with a company specialising in the development
and support of complex communicating database applications.
Gordon Bosworth
Gordon Bosworth is the Medical Services Director of the
Quantum Consulting Group (QCG), which he joined in 2003.
He has worked within or alongside, QCG for a total of
approximately five years. Mr. Bosworth is 46 years old
and has a total of 25 years of relevant medical experience.
He is a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists
(MCSP) with a specialist interest in professional sports
injuries and achieving as rapid as possible a return to
full fitness, without compromising the long term health
of the patient. Both of the aforementioned factors are
of essential importance in the field of professional sports.
In the past Mr. Bosworth has worked with the RAF, the
Police force and the National Sports Centre at Bisham
Abbey, the latter is officially designated a Centre of
Excellence within the UK. He later established his own
physiotherapy centres and the joined QCG.
In addition to his role at QCG, he is also the Vice Chair
of the British Bobsleigh Association and the Chief Physiotherapist
for the British Winter Olympics team, as well as emeritus
consultant expert physiotherapist to Liverpool Football
Club.
